What is Steve RPG?
Steve RPG is an RPG Maker XP game that us here at Carrot Works have been working on since 2006. What's that? 2006 was ages ago? I know. We were about 13 or 14 at the time, so we had no clue what we were doing. Since then, the game went through massive changes and data loss. As of now, it should be on the right track. It's going to be a typical JRPG that is meant to make you laugh. That's right, this game will include plenty of humor. There will be references to pop-culture, pointing out RPG logic, and just spoofing around in a satirical world. Also, keep in mind, we're American. Now, did the "RPG Maker XP" part turn you off? Have no worries, this game will include completely original graphics, music and sounds. We all know that nobody cares about the default graphics, so we do our own stuff! The only things that won't be original will be everything that's being spoofed. Believe me, this game will punch copyright laws in the face. We're not selling it, so we can't be sewed. That's right, when this game is complete, you can download it for free!
TOOLS BEING USED
Everyone just loves this question. What are we using to make the game? Here ya go:
Game Engine: RPG Maker XP
The best thing out there for RPGs. Yeah, I know there's VX now, but we're using original content, so we don't need it.
Graphics: MS Paint, Corel Photo Suite 12, Macromedia Flash 8
Ewww, paint? Why? Well, that's for the mapping small sprites. MS Paint is so pixel-specific, it works great for that. Flash is used for bigger graphics, and Corel is used mostly for backgrounds.
Music/Sound: MIDI Maker, MIDI2WAV, FlexiMusic
Curse our inability to use FL Studios! Don't worry, the music IS NOT BASIC MIDI. It will be composed as MIDI, but enhanced with a soundfont.
CONTENT
If you have parents who limit your freedom or watch too much Oprah, you might want to check this out to avoid trouble later on.
Language
The language isn't much. There may be MINOR swearing, but not that much. Nothing will make it past "ass."
Alcohol/Drugs
Yes, there will be alcohol use and drug references, but as long as you passed D.A.R.E., you should be fine. Sometime in your life, you will have to talk to a drunk guy, so get started with this.
Racism/Sexism
There is NO racism in the game! We know that one person doesn't represent a group. However, there will be stereotypes, but used as a complete joke.
"Crude Humor"
First off, crude humor is a lie. Everyone farts, everyone poops, everyone vomits corn. There shouldn't be any reason to pull kids away from this stuff. While you won't go swimming in a pool of diarrhea in Steve RPG, you'll still come accross enemies who use dookie as a weapon.
Sexual References
Again, not much. Don't worry, you won't see innocent little Cindy Lou riding Giant Johnson's bologna pony. The most it will be is in context, but it will be nothing offensive.
Politics/Religion
You'll be surprised to hear that unlike everything above, these two things will not be mentioned AT ALL. Only the NPCs in the game complain about THEIR OWN politics and religion. The president of Tapekim is not your president, you live in real life, so you don't need to worry.
If you are offended by anything you see in the game, in screenshots, or wherever, don't say we didn't warn you. If you come complaining to us, we're not going to give a crap. Just cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it. We will not respond to any e-mails/PMs/whatevers that contain you whining about how that joke about fat people offended you.
Can My Computer Even Run This?

Sorry Mac users, you may have to pass this one. Now, I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can run RPG Maker XP games on a Mac. The problem is, I have no idea where. I normally hate telling people to Google it, but... Google it.
